Samsung TU8000 Crystal UHD TV Review (2020)

The TU8000 is an entry-level 2020 Samsung TV. It’s the successor to the RU8000, though unfortunately it’s lacking some of the same features.

The Samsung TU8000 is a good TV but it lacks some key features you might find in higher-end TVs. It’s the successor the 2019’s Samsung RU8000, but feels like a bit of a downgrade, and performs closer to the RU7100.

The TU8000 can’t get as bright as 2019’s RU8000, and doesn’t have nearly as wide of a color gamut. On the upside, despite not having local dimming, it has an excellent contrast ratio and performs great when used in a dark room.

Model tested: 55” (UN55TU8000FXZA)
Should also be valid for the 43” (UN43TU8000FXZA), 50” (UN50TU8000FXZA), 65” (UN65TU8000FXZA), and 75” (UN75TU8000FXZA) .
