Hello and welcome to WhichLaptop, today we’ll be showing you the best laptops for premiere pro in 2021!
Dependent on whether you’re editing vlog footage or 4K footage – your specific needs may change in what you need in an editing laptop, but one thing is for sure, you’ll need a lot of power.
Luckily I’ve compiled the 3 best laptops for you to use after hours of research and performance testing, I only recommend products that I believe in!
Links to all the products will be in the description below.
Up first is the MacBook Pro 2019.
Now yes, the new Mac pro 2020 has recently been released, featuring their new M1 chip. However, it’s only available with a 13-inch screen and it’s also seemingly sold out everywhere.
In my personal opinion, the Macbook Pro 2019 is still the better version specifically for video editing. It can host up to a 9th Gen, Octacore Intel i9 processor and 64GB of RAM.
It has a beautiful retina display which will allow you to see your projects brought to life. The touch bar that features at the top of the device is its unique selling point for me. It allows you to switch between applications or tabs with the press of a single button, making your workflow much smoother.
My next pick is the Razer Blade 15.
Now Razer creates stunning machines with incredible performance that rival the likes of a Macbook.
It comes in an incredibly sturdy CNC aluminium case which houses an impressive cooling system to ensure the powerhouse of hardware that’s in it performs to the best it can.
There are various models to choose from which alongside the intel core i7 5Ghz can include an RTX 3060 or 3070 with screen refresh rate upgrades from 144Hz to 165Hz.
It’s worth noting that the cheaper base models have some compromises, with less impressive displays, no card reader, downgraded RGB and a dramatically downsized battery. So it’s up to you to decide which is most important to you!
The OLED screen is stunning so it really is a great investment when picture quality is of great concern to you when editing (which it should be).
And my final pick is the Dell XPS 15.
Whilst the screen is practically identical to the Razer Blade 15 – it’s overall design and features makes it far more suited towards editors.
It firstly comes with an SD card slot – crucial for editors on the move. But it also packs 32GB of DDR6 RAM and a 1TB SSD which is ideal when storing 4K footage which is storage heavy.
It packs a GTX 1650ti which may not stack up against the competition – but supplemented with an external desktop GPU using it’s included thunderbolt 3 port, your more demanding projects can be edited with ease. For editing on the go, whether that be vlogs, short films etc this thing will hold up incredibly well.
So there you have it guys, our 3 recommendations for the best laptops for premiere pro in 2021. Please check out the links to these fantastic products down below!
